From the Principal's Desk

BMUN conceived 7 years ago by a group of enthusiastic  students   of Vidya Niketan School concerned about Global affairs and keen on creating global awareness, has today become an Annual Event in the school calendar and an event eagerly awaited by all schools in the  city  and the country. Since last year BMUN has spread its wings outside India and has welcomed delegates from Singapore, Malaysia and SriLanka. This year we look forward to welcoming many more delegates from many more schools from around the Globe.

What has helped BMUN gather momentum and support is its relevance to the youth of today.

Whether it be global disarmament or global finances and economics, violation of Human rights or violation on the Environment, the youth of today has to learn to take a firm stand, and have a definite opinion if there is to be a better tomorrow.

BMUN helps the delegates to focus on these issues both by research and by debate. It also helps youngsters realize that issues can be addressed, and perhaps resolved by discussion, and not by aggression.

BMUN helps add value and relevance to the formal degrees that a student may acquire, and enhances their potential in a vulnerable job market.  Above all, it sensitizes all participants to come out of their ‘comfort bubble’ and realize the need to join hands to “make the world a better place to live in”;  to think not of today but of tomorrow and many more tomorrows.

"We have not inherited the Earth from our ancestors. We only borrowed it from our children."

Wishing all the participants the very Best.
